Ancient Charm Resonates in Yong City
On the evening of June 28, the “Sounds of Eight Guizhou—New Works Concert by Famous Guqin Masters” was successfully held at the Guangxi Cultural and Arts Center Concert Hall. The concert was led by young domestic Guqin master Wei Shengbao and Li Junping, president of the Guangxi Guqin Association, along with several other esteemed artists. To ensure the highest quality sound and the most authentic Guqin elegance, the ESD ACOUSTIC Super Dragon Setup(lacquer version) was specially invited by the organizing committee to support this performance. Under the stage lights, the lacquer version of the Super Dragon Setup appeared particularly lively and harmonious, creating a grand and majestic atmosphere, as if a thousand troops were about to surge forth from the horns. Before the rehearsal began, performers eagerly took photos to capture the splendor of the Dragon Yin system.
The concert featured the Guqin as the primary instrument, accompanied by piano, Guzheng, Erhu, Melodica, bamboo flute, Dizi, guitar, and percussion, among other instruments. Renowned Chinese Guqin maker Zhang Yuxin’s masterpiece “Sajin Banana Leaf” and several other Guqins added their support.
The performance opened with a piece titled “Water Smoke Creek Bridge.” Through the Super Dragon Yin system, the sound of the musicians’ fingertips brushing the Guqin strings, accompanied by the recitation of poetry by more than thirty children, transported the audience into a picturesque Jiangnan water village scene.

Why Choose ESD ACOUSTIC’s Super Dragon Setup
Those familiar with music understand that amplifying the Guqin has always been a significant challenge for sound systems and a regret for many performers. The Guqin’s ethereal, flexible, transparent yet restrained timbre, its wide range of high and low-frequency responses, the dynamic changes in the four stages of sound—attack, decay, sustain, and release—as well as the demands for low distortion and spatial sensation, all require comprehensive support from a sound system.
The Super Dragon Setup, as the culmination of ESD ACOUSTIC’s cutting-edge technology, features six channels and twenty units, with full-magnetic units and carbon fiber horns. Its Truextent® rolled beryllium diaphragms for midrange, treble, and ultra-treble units offer higher resolution and lower distortion. The patented titanium sandwich diaphragm, light yet sturdy, eliminates segmental and phase distortion. The AI intelligent negative feedback technology in the magnetic power supply counteracts the dynamic compression caused by back EMF, solving a century-old problem. The magnetic density reaches 2.4T in the compression drivers, ensuring the powerful magnetic flux handles the speakers effortlessly. The world’s only super-low-frequency giant carbon fiber horn offers uncolored, robust low frequencies, ending the “theorem” that speaker low-frequency distortion must be high. The 5+1-way analog active crossover (with subwoofer cabinet internal active crossover) allows amplifiers to drive speakers one-on-one, ensuring smoother transitions and more natural, relaxed sound. Thus, the Super Dragon Yin is undoubtedly the bridge to “touching music” tonight.
Grateful for the Encounter, Looking Forward to Reuniting
As eleven pieces were performed, “Shijing: The Moon Rises” presented a beautiful scene of the moon ascending; “Rain on the Bell” evoked the human life of the Song Dynasty; “Ice Wheel of the Island” was a Beijing-flavored classic; “Changban Slope” had a vigorous and stirring style, with the faint sound of warhorses neighing, as if being on the battlefield, leaving a lasting impression; the final encore piece “A Laugh from the Sea” pushed the entire performance to its climax, with applause that lingered long after.
