Description
The CDT-1B is a CD Transport developed by ESD Acoustic specifically for audiophiles who pursue exceptional sound quality. Its core mechanism is the legendary Philips CD-Pro2M, which we have then upgraded with more advanced components, including an ultra-low noise constant voltage power supply. The system clock has been replaced with a femtosecond level ultra-low jitter clock. Internally, digital signal buffering and transmission have been enhanced using higher-performance components, and a balanced transmission mode is employed to ensure the effective utilization of the ultra-low jitter clock.
At the meantime, the base that houses the mechanism is crafted from a single piece of five-axis CNC-machined copper, which weighs 55kg, ensuring the highest level of isolation from vibration transmission and guaranteeing exceptional stability during disc playback.
The control unit of the Transport is housed in a separate box, preventing any interference from disc jitter and electromagnetic sources.
The CDT-1B employs a separate power supply and pioneers the use of a switching power supply to achieve AC-DC conversion, capable of accommodating a wide voltage range of 80-280V, completely resolving the power supply challenge that audiophiles find most difficult to address.
